Competency to Stand Trial
An assessment of an individual's ability to understand legal proceedings, assist in their own defense and participate meaningfully in the defense of their case.
Criminal Responsibility
Evaluation of mental state at the time of the alleged offense, including capacity for intent, judgment, behavioral control, and the presence of a qualifying mental illness affecting criminal responsibility.
Expert Witness Testimony
Expert testimony in court and legal proceedings, including forensic evaluations, depositions, and trial testimony, as well as consultation with attorneys and clear explanation of psychological findings relevant to the case.
Immigration & Asylum
Clinical documentation for hardship waivers, Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) petitions, U-Visas, T-Visas and asylum claims, focusing on trauma, persecution or hardship-related symptoms.
Domestic Violence
Assessments of the psychological effects of victimization, relational patterns, trauma impact and risk factors. Evaluations can be completed for victims and when ethically appropriate for defendants.
Substance Abuse
Comprehensive assessments that address dependency, misuse, history, risk factors and recommendations for treatment or court diversion programs.
Emotional Distress
Evaluations of psychological harm related to accidents, assaults, negligence, or other traumatic events, including PTSD, anxiety, and functional impairment, to document the nature and extent of emotional injuries.
